Progressive Rock
Long enough to carry you in. Long enough to bring you back.
The sound
An unknown planet. A haunted hall. A sea voyage that never arrives. And sometimes the way leads inward. However different the stories, they all start the same way: with a step across a threshold.
That’s why the pieces last as long as they do. Going there and back takes time.
Twelve pieces, recorded in a single night. Each one is an excerpt we picked ourselves — the stretch that shows what the piece does. The full album is on Bandcamp.
Live at Rockin’ Rooster Club
Live
This is where pieces become something shared — immediate and alive. Come as you are. Leave with an echo.

Perpetual Moments · in progress
An overture and seven parts, a little over thirty-five minutes. It follows someone who lies awake at night trying to get a grip on the future — and what that costs him. That’s all we’re giving away for now. It’s been in the live set since 2025.

Band
Emerald Edge started in the autumn of 2003 as an idea between Volker Faas and Martin Wendler. Two decades later that idea is five people, an EP and three albums — and both of them are still in the band.
Dream Theater, Rush and Marillion are in there, and so are Iron Maiden, Pink Floyd and Metallica. What comes out of it takes its time: the longest piece on the live album runs nineteen minutes, and Perpetual Moments, in the live set since 2025, runs thirty-five.
Alice Aschauer has been singing and playing electric violin since 2006, Artur Wlossek has been on drums since 2009, and Roland Genske added keyboards and another voice in 2024. Martin Wendler plays bass — and a didgeridoo that turns up when you least expect it.
